Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen provided the fourth batch of the fuel grant to operate power stations in Al-Zayt Port, Al-Buraiqa District, Aden Governorate. The batch was 30,000 metric tons of oil derivatives.

This grant is part of projects to support the electricity sector to reduce its interruptions, and to continue health sectors, hospitals and other services. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Abdulhakim Fadel, praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in providing the oil derivatives grant to operate power stations in Yemen, which costs the government millions of dollars.

The Deputy Director of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, Engineer Ahmed Al-Yahya, reviewed the aspects of the support provided by the Kingdom to Yemen. He referred to the program’s contribution to operating 70 power stations with 150,000 tons of diesel and 100,000 tons of mazut from November 22, 2022, to April 2023. Moreover, the program implemented 229 projects in various service sectors in all governorates.
