The Qatar Red Crescent (QRCS) announced its intention to implement a number of health projects in 11 countries, including Yemen, in 2023. It stated that it will launch a total of 76 health projects at a total cost of more than $16,800,000.

The QRCS’s statement stated that these projects aim to provide health and medical services to about 1,000,000 people from the poor and poorest groups in Afghanistan, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Niger, Bangladesh, Syria, and Palestine (Gaza, Al-Quds and the West Bank), and Lebanon.

The project implementation process will be divided into three stages. The first stage is intended for specialized surgical procedures and treatment. The second aims to provide medicines and medical devices. The third aims to establish or rehabilitate health facilities in those countries.
