Al-Tawasul for Human Development has opened a new residential villlage in Al-Khokha, funded by Development Association for charity in Kuwait.

Basmat Amal project is one of the main impact projects in the shelter sector, including a prototype residential village consisting of 60 units, each unit consisting of two rooms, a bathroom, a yard, a water tank, solar power for each house, and a sewage system.

The housing project also included constructing and equipping a health unit consisting of two clinics, a laboratory and a pharmacy equipped with the latest medical equipment, as well as building and equipping a school consisting of 4 classrooms, an administration room, and building and fully equipping a bakery and a water well to provide drinking water. Each family was provided with shelter items such as mattresses and cooking needs.

Adel Al-Masoudi, coordinator of organizations in the West Coast, said that today we are opening the prototype village of Basmat Amal, offered  by Kuwait through the Development Association for charity , this integrated village with its various components will be a guarantee of safety and stability for displaced families and will provide integrated services to these families. We thank Kuwait, the Government of Kuwait, and people of Kuwait for this permanent tender.
