  • UNICEF: Distribution of aid to 66,000 Yemeni IDPs within half a year

Khabar Khair (Only Good News)

Despite the successive warnings by the United Nations of the lack of funding for humanitarian operations in Yemen, international organizations are making great efforts for the relief operation in Yemen, where the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced the distribution of assistance to some 66,000 displaced Yemenis in Marib within six months. The organization’s office in Yemen said on Twitter that it provided “aid to 65,800 vulnerable displaced people in Marib, from September 2021 until last February.” It added that the aid provided by its Rapid Response Mechanism included “food and basic hygiene items for the family, as well as supplies for women”.
