At the beginning of February, “Safe Spaces for Women and Girls” carried out a field visit in Seiyun as part of the activities of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project. It is implemented by Humanitarian Access in Wadi Hadhramout and funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

These social awareness sessions targeted 50 beneficiaries. They dealt with the definition of gender-based violence, its effects, and the importance of addressing it as a human rights issue. They also aimed to ensure that women and girls of all walks of life live free from violence and coercion for the benefit of the entire society.
