Funded by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, a training course on reproductive health services during emergencies was launched yesterday in Aden Governorate.

It was a part of the project which provides emergency reproductive health services to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen. The course was attended by 30 male and female reproductive health directors of health offices and the employees of the population sector at the Ministry of Public Health and Population.

The course reviewed the most important knowledge and guidance on raising awareness of the implementation of reproductive health services during emergencies. The Deputy of the Minister of Health for the Population Sector, Dr. Salem Al-Shabahi, praised the development projects carried out by King Salman Relief Center for various health sector institutions in Yemen. He also indicated that providing these training services in the field of health will provide health care for pregnant women in different governorates.

The project was a part of the continuous support operations for the health sector in Yemen, which implement and evaluate projects that enhance the service performance of the institutions.
