The United Nations Population Fund stated that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has provided protection services support, since January 2021 AD, to 65.000 of the most vulnerable women and girls in southern Yemen.

The Fund added in a statement that “Khabar Khair” (Only Good News) website have receive a copy of that, “The support provided by the King Salman Relief Center has helped the United Nations Population Fund to improve gender-based violence services in areas where the protection needs of women and girls have grown, while supporting eight safe places and shelters in nine governorates”.

The statement mentioned, “Since the beginning of the project, it has reached more than 30.000 people who provided it with information about protection services through awareness sessions, and trained 800 women on facing violence and livelihood skills, while more than 200 women received cash assistance”.
