Kuwait Society for Relief has launched a project to support farmers by distributing 100 manual plough machines to farmers affected by the war in Hodeidah.

The project, which is part of humanitarian interventions of Kuwait Society for Relief to support and improve the agricultural sector in Yemen, and implemented by the Humanitarian Foundation Twasol, aiming to promote employment and production opportunities, and empower farmers, as they are one of the most important groups of Yemeni society and its economic forces.

on his part, the Chief Executive of Twasol Foundation, Mr. Raed Ibrahim said the project includes distributing100 manual plough machines  of 10 horsepower with their ancillaries, with training farmers on using, operating and maintaining such machines, and the projects targets the affected farmers in the districts of Al-Khoukha and Al-Tahita in Al-Hodeidah governorate, who were selected through conducting field surveys carried out by the Foundation’s teams under the supervision of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office, the Higher Committee for Relief and the authorities The local authorities in the two districts, praising the support of the Kuwait Relief Society and its sustained interventions to stand by the Yemeni people, which were characterized by good quality and sustainability.
