The Kuwait Society for Relief launched a relief campaign for displaced people in Marib, with a project including 300 food baskets and 100 shelter bags with kitchen tools, in addition to distributing twenty1000-liter water tanks and distributing water tankers for displaced persons for a whole month.

This campaign comes under Kuwait Society for Relief‘s interventions as a part of “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, benefiting around 20,000 displaced people and will contribute to alleviating the suffering of displaced people and providing them with basics of life under these circumstances.

Director of Marib Response Office and the local implementing partner for the project, Muhammad Saleem, said the campaign covers several areas, including food, shelter, distributing water tanks, and distributing drinking water, by 337 water tankers for a whole month.

Bin Saleem said that the State of Kuwait, represented by Kuwait Society for Relief, capture displaced people’s need and works on providing their basic need, aimed at alleviating their suffering.

The campaign responds to the call made by the operational unit for the internally displaced in the governorate, due to the displacement of 20,000 thousand people by recent events.
